Meditation for Grieving a Relationship, a Marriage, or the Life You Thought You'd Have
Sep 22, 2026Grief after a narcissistic relationship rarely fits the shape people expect. It's not just grief for a person — it's grief for the version of the future you'd built in your head, for years you can't get back, for a version of yourself who believed things that turned out not to be true. And underneath all of it, sometimes, grief for the person too — even someone who hurt you can still be someone you loved, and both things can be true at once.
This kind of grief doesn't get flowers or casseroles or sympathy cards. Nobody organizes a meal train for it. It's often carried quietly, sometimes even hidden, because it doesn't match the "you're better off without him" narrative other people are ready to hand you.
This meditation makes room for the grief exactly as it actually is — layered, contradictory, and yours to feel without needing to explain or justify it to anyone. Sorrow moves in waves. This is a place to let the waves move through you, while staying connected to your own steady ground.
